Since 1971, the After School and Summer Enrichment Program has provided after school activities to community youth, moving on campus in 1985. Beginning in 2001 we have collaborated with the Isla Vista After School Education & Safety Program (A.S.E.S.) funded through the CA Department of Education. Subsequently we have doubled the number of children served after school and increased the quality and quantity of services to children. The program is used primarily by working and/or student parents who depend on this affordable program as a daily after school arrangement.

Children attending under the ASES funding qualify for a scholarship and reduced fees are available to families who qualify. The program is held on site at Isla Vista Elementary School and is open during the school year from 2:50pm to 6:00pm. Daily homework assistance and reading time is structured into the curriculum and all activities align with state standards. Lessons cover subjects such as; Math, Science, Writing, Reading, Social Studies and Art. Students also have the opportunity for additional library time and computer lab access weekly. Additional tutoring time is provided to those children who need extra assistance completing their schoolwork.
On average, about 95% of the students enrolled in the program received a satisfactory grade or higher in homework on their report card and improve on other areas. Additional enrichment activities such as drama, dance, sports, art, music and other various after school "clubs" are available.
