Nutrition Class
This October IVYP partnered with PHD Nutrition Services/WIC to host a nutrition class. Not only was interactive education about MyPlate & sugar-sweetened beverages provided, but there were great talks on Ellyn Satter’s division of responsibility and the Stoplight method. Ellyn Satter teaches that parents decide what and when to offer foods, while children decide if and how much they eat. The Stoplight method helps sort foods into once in a while, sometimes, and every day foods. All these topics make eating healthy fun, stress-free and create lifelong habits.
