Volunteer at our Children's Center
What are the responsibilities of our volunteers?
Volunteers are expected to set a consistent schedule that meets both the Center’s programing needs and the individual’s availability. Volunteers help the teachers by working with small groups of children to enrich their experiences at the Center. Volunteers always work under the supervision of a qualified teacher and are never left alone with a group of children.
There are several special events throughout the year for groups of volunteers to help. Examples are Harvest Festival, Car Wash, work days, holiday activities, etc. We also may need help with childcare in the evening for parent education classes.

Where do you volunteer?
We have two sites; our main center serving children 3 months of age to 5 years old, and our preschool / kinder after school program located at our Family Resource Center building (next to Isla Vista elementary school). (see map)
When can you volunteer?
Both sites are open Monday thru Friday from 7:30am-5:30pm. However, at times there might be special events that may allow for additional volunteer opportunities later in the evening.
